Position Description

As a painter with Fontaine Modification, you can expect to be a part of some of the most innovative, and unique, modifications in the industry. Fontaine Modification, the industry leader in OEM truck modification is adding to our paint and body team.  Our new facility in Charlotte is equipped with two state of the art paint booths and we need your skills to prepare trucks for painting and painting!  Must have prior auto, boat, airplane or truck paint and body experience.

Position Requirements

This third shift position is located in our Dublin, VA facility and will be responsible for the following job functions:

  • Inspect panels to be painted for body repair, prepping and/or buffing defect
  • Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts
  • Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish to match surrounding areas. Using a brush, apply or retouch paint as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to helpers, orient and train new employees, etc
  • May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate
  • Mainly painting truck cabs
  • Sand, mask, blend, and polish finish to match surrounding areas. Using a brush, apply or retouch paint as necessary

Qualifications

  • Must provide your own paint gun
  • 1 – 2 years automotive, truck, boat, airplane or, or heavy equipment painting experience required.
  • Ability to paint in hard-to-reach places
  • Automotive or trade school certificate is a plus!
  • Mechanical skills are a plus!
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to work full-time plus overtime
