Position Description

As a driver for Fontaine Modification, you will be involved in the transportation of trucks to and from our modification facility. You will be a part of a mobile team that is responsible for the logistics of bringing in new trucks to delivering completed and modified trucks after completion.

Position Requirements

This position is located at the Charlotte, NC facility and will be responsible for the following job functions:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installing minor modifications such as back up cameras, auxiliary power units, electronic log kits, decals, running fuel lines, electrical wiring harnesses, etc.
  • Pre-delivery inspections
  • Working with kits and bolt-on modifications
  • Bending, stooping, reaching and standing to perform modifications and installations
  • Lifting and installing components up to 45 pounds

Qualifications

  • Some experience with and mechanical knowledge of class 8 trucks and parts.
  • Proficient with Office 365 tools like Outlook email, Teams IM, and ability to type.
  • Strong phone and email customer service skills, responsiveness, and follow-up.
  • Capable of lifting heavier items and operating a forklift.
